In this hilarious family sports comedy, Will Ferrell stars as Phil Weston, a mild-mannered dad who's spent a lifetime under the shadow of his ultra-competitive father, Buck Weston (Robert Duvall). But when Phil’s son joins a struggling Little League soccer team, Phil unexpectedly finds himself taking over as coach — and quickly discovers that he may have inherited more of Buck’s aggressive streak than he ever imagined.
Things escalate when Buck becomes the coach of a rival team, and the father-son feud spills onto the pitch. As Phil's obsession with winning takes over, he alienates his players, his family — and even recruits Mike Ditka (playing himself!) to give him an edge.
